In the late 22nd century, after a global
biological plague wiped out most of the animals on Earth, scientists developed
ARS-BioScan, a program to rescue DNA memories and animal behaviors into the
digital world.
But of all the animals transferred, only
pigs showed unique behavioral patterns: they were able to adapt to artificial
simulations, learn through digital observation, and even create new
communication patterns within the system.
The scientists called them:
"Porcus Cognitia" - Pigs aware of
themselves in the network.
This artwork is a visual record of the
first moment when one of the Porcus entities looked back at its observer —
realizing that it was no longer an animal, but a mind living inside an electrical
circuit.
